Grace An (b. 1992, Toronto/Tkaronto) is an animation artist and filmmaker from Lindsay, Ontario, now based in Montréal (Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang). She likes to make work alongside memory and folly. In a fragmentary and dialogic manner, her practice thinks about the relationship between film and objects. Her two latest films were produced in programs by the National Film Board of Canada and have been screened across Canada. Her next short, cabbage_daddy, distributed by La Distributrice de Films, is set to release in the fall of 2025. Some of her clients include CBC, Indigo, McGill University, and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. She holds a BFA in Film Animation from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Master of Art, Media, and Design from OCAD University. There, she is currently a faculty member in the Experimental Animation program.
